Lily Hawk

A Menagerie of Electronic Delights

My thesis is a portfolio of 3D environment art and props that showcases many little bits of information you wouldn’t always know about me unless you’ve heard me yap about it. This collection of work showcases my love of sports (in particular hockey), as well as the teamwork that comes with it. Games and game art are collaborative processes, and being a part of that team is something that I really value. This is why I designed my thesis around building up skills or expanding on them; so I can be a strong team player in the future.

You might have been able to tell, but I enjoy having fun with my work. It’s stylized and whimsical simply because I think if you can’t have fun with what you do, what’s the point? That, and photorealism in games is something I don’t actively seek because I believe style can convey more meaning and emotion than realism. With that said, take a minute if you’d like and get lost in the whimsy.

Bio

Lily Hawk is a 3D modeler who focuses on environment art and environment props. She uses Blender and Unity to bring these environments to life, in fun and whimsical ways, keeping a stylized look to express that whimsy. Her work is practical, often created to go right into the portfolio for all to see, and to expand the skills in her 3D modeling toolkit. She values teamwork and collaboration, and of course having fun while she works.
