Mortar & Pestilence

I love researching. Any niche topic that catches my interest will cause me to lose hours collecting visual references, reading books, and falling down rabbit holes in order to collect inspiration. I’m inspired by all sorts of things, from classical literature, to history, to science and even niche genres of horror. I love blending it all together to create something that speaks with a unique voice.

My thesis is a love letter to everything that interests me most: playing puzzle games, reading eldritch horror, horticulture, and all things medieval. Hours upon hours of research went into the writing, design, history, and art of this project (and many more will continue to be sunk into its development after...) to create a puzzle game demo that combines aspects of medieval herbalism and esoteric history. I want to create games for people to enjoy the story and atmosphere of, and I hope Mortar and Pestilence creates that experience for someone (Maybe you?).
